A standard development framework for Woori Bank's channels, extended with generative-AI coding support.
Bankware built Woori Bank's channel standard framework and pilot system on BX-CM, its Java development platform for cloud environments, between November 2022 and June 2023. In 2025 Bankware added a generative-AI development support platform based on BX-CA (BX Code Assistant), connected to the BX-CM framework tools; it was completed in May 2025 and moved into full service later that year.
Development-platform work for a Korean commercial bank.
Woori Bank a Korean commercial bank, part of Woori Financial Group.
Woori Bank is a Korean commercial bank and a subsidiary of Woori Financial Group, serving retail and corporate customers through domestic and overseas branches. This page covers Bankware's development-platform work for the bank's channel systems. Bankware did not supply Woori Bank's core banking system.
Separate frameworks across channel teams, one standard needed for a hybrid environment.
Woori Bank's channel development relied on separate frameworks and inconsistent standards across teams, which made integration and reuse harder and slowed delivery of new services. The bank wanted one standard framework for its channel systems that could run in a hybrid VM and container environment.
BX-CM channel framework (2022–2023), BX-CA AI development support (2025).
Phase 1 (Nov 2022 – Jun 2023): Bankware delivered a channel standard framework and pilot system on BX-CM: a standard Java back-end framework integrated with Kubernetes, a single-page-application UI framework, API gateway and service-mesh routing, multi-cluster Kubernetes management and pre-configured CI/CD pipelines. The cloud operations layer used BX-CP, a Bankware product that has since been retired. Phase 2 (2025): Bankware applied LLM-based generative AI to the BX-CM development tools through BX-CA, adding code completion, error correction, code explanation and refactoring with secure-coding rules, plus an admin portal for monitoring and prompt management. BX-M is also the development and operations framework behind Woori Bank's WON Banking app system.

Woori Bank's channel teams develop on one standard framework instead of separate frameworks, and the 2025 platform adds AI-assisted coding to the same toolset. Measured outcomes have not been published, so this page does not state any.
